Children are the future of the country. If a child born to deprived family lives in poverty, it is his own fault. If you have talent and intelligence, you can touch the heights of success.
These views were expressed by renowned artist Anwar Maqsood while addressing an event at the Karachi Arts Council. The Arts Council Institute of Arts and Craft organized the event to present certificates and awards to successful students.
“Karachi kids have great skills; I congratulate them who come here to learn. Special children miss out on some things, but their brain knows everything.
President of Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah vowed to establish a University of Fine Arts and Performing Arts. He said Arts Council of Pakistan is working on music together with different countries including Turkey and Germany. We are also making all-out efforts for betterment in dance and theater sector.
Renowned artist Shahid Rasam said it’s not all about a certificate, we focus on expertise based on hands-on training. ACIAC started in 1964, Muhammad Ahmed Shah revolutionized it and started this scholarship program. Whatever I am today, it is the blessing of Anwar Bhai.
Nadeem Ahmed said I am happy with the progress of art, theater, music, film, and drama in Pakistan. He said people working here at Arts Council will bring peace and prosperity, and the art industry will flourish here.
Among the position holders, Raza Muhammad (Communication Design) secured the first position, while second position Farhana Naz (Fine Art). Wasi ul Hassan (Fine Art) got the third position.
At the end of the ceremony, Anwar Maqsood distributed shields, medals and checks to students. Ahmed Shah offered the token of thanks and presented flowers to Anwar Maqsood and Nadeem Ahmed.
