Practical lock-down ends in Karachi

  • PTI workers spray germs on the streets
  • Motor mechanics, auto parts, carpets, cloth, hardware, and electronic shops remain open

On Saturday night, the Sindh Government announced more stringency in lockdown and removed all exemptions from the ban on pillion ride on the motorcycle.

Earlier, the pillion riding ban was not applicable to women, policemen, and journalists. But in practice, this announcement of the Sindh Government proved to be only a statement. Today, traffic on roads was higher than usual and citizens were seen pillion riding freely.

Motor mechanics, auto parts, carpets, cloth, hardware, and electronic shops were open in almost every area of the city. It seems that for unknown reasons, the Sindh Government is helpless and unable to execute its decisions despite its timely and effective strategy to deal with the #Coronavirus.
On the other hand, the PTI’s local leadership appeared to be active with its workers in Karachi today and was busy spraying pesticides with the help of fire brigades on the roads.
