Karachi: Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of Package Visa, a new digital initiative aimed at making travel to the Kingdom easier by integrating tourist visa applications directly into travel package bookings.
The initiative is being introduced through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets before a wider global rollout.
With the new system, eligible travelers will be able to book their tourist visa, flights, accommodation, and travel packages through a single, streamlined process, reducing the need for separate applications and making trip planning more convenient.
The launch is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to simplify travel and strengthen its rapidly growing tourism sector. In recent years, the Kingdom has introduced several visitor-friendly initiatives, including the tourist e-Visa, Visa on Arrival, and the Stopover Transit Visa, making it easier for international visitors to explore Saudi Arabia.
These efforts have contributed to significant tourism growth, with the Kingdom welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.
Commenting on the initiative, Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb said the Package Visa reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to making travel more seamless and accessible for visitors from around the world.
“As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination,” he said.
Under the new system, travelers can also add events, tourism activities, and travel experiences while booking their trip, creating a more connected and hassle-free journey from reservation to arrival.
Saudi authorities said the Package Visa will only be available through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet defined service standards and offer 24/7 customer support, ensuring a smooth and reliable travel experience.
The initiative also provides travel companies with an opportunity to offer more attractive travel packages, improve customer experience, and encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more destinations across the Kingdom.
As Saudi Arabia continues to expand its tourism industry, the launch of Package Visa marks another major step toward making the Kingdom one of the world’s most accessible and visitor-friendly travel destinations.
