Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Celebrated at Government Girls Secondary School in New Karachi

KARACHI: A graceful and spiritually uplifting Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ ceremony was held at Government Girls Secondary School, Town Committee, New Karachi, where students expressed their love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through heartfelt Naat recitations.
The ceremony was attended by District Education Officer (ES & HS), District Central Karachi, Syed Nawaz Ali Shah Jillani; Deputy DEO Tariq Ali; Deputy DEO Nighat Seema; Deputy DEO Mohammad Tahir; Media Coordinator Saba Waseem; and New Karachi Town Coordinator Ambreen, who participated in the event as special guests.
The ceremony was organised under the supervision of DEO Syed Nawaz Ali Shah Jillani and under the leadership of the school’s Headmistress, Ms. Ghazala Yaseen. The students presented Naat in melodious and heartfelt voices, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion, spirituality and respect for the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Speaking to the media after the Milad ceremony, DEO Central Syed Nawaz Ali Shah Jillani said that the condition of government schools had improved considerably with the availability of specific budgetary allocations and ongoing efforts were being made to further improve educational facilities and standards.
He said that a special enrolment drive would be launched to bring children who are currently out of school back into the education system. The entire education team, he added, was working on the issue in coordination with parents, teachers and School Management Committees (SMCs) to ensure that no child remained out of school.
The DEO particularly highlighted the need to increase the enrolment of girls and said that a special drive was being planned to bring out-of-school children, especially girls, into schools.
He said every effort was being made to ensure that students of government schools did not lag behind students of private schools in any way. However, he acknowledged that several challenges remained, including a lack of awareness among parents, and stressed the need for parents, teachers, SMCs and education officials to work together to address these issues.
During the event, Deputy DEO Tariq Ali highly appreciated the efforts of Headmistress Ms. Ghazala Yaseen and congratulated her for organising the Milad ceremony in such a graceful manner. He also praised the students for their impressive Naat performances.
Deputy DEO Tariq Ali also appreciated the performance and efforts of Ms. Fiza, who was among the organisers of the programme, and commended her for the effective arrangements and successful execution of the event.
In another highlight of the ceremony, DEO Syed Nawaz Ali Shah Jillani presented a trophy to Ayesha, a student who secured the highest 87 percent marks in the Karachi Board SSC Part-II examinations among students of New Karachi Town. The DEO appreciated her outstanding achievement and congratulated her, expressing his hope that she would achieve even greater success in her future academic career.
The ceremony aimed to promote love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ, religious awareness, Islamic values and a deeper understanding of Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ among students. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the Milad gathering a memorable and meaningful occasion.
