New Era of Peace Emerging in Balochistan Through Tribal Jirgas: Syed Aman Shah

Tribal elders, government, and military join hands to restore trust, ensure peace, and address development challenges in Balochistan.

Awaam Pakistan Party leader Syed Aman Shah says tribal jirgas are rebuilding trust in Balochistan, uniting people, government, and military for lasting peace and development.

Karachi: A new wave of peace, trust, and hope is rising in Balochistan as tribal jirgas bring the people, government, and military institutions closer together. According to Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener of Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, the initiative is restoring public confidence and opening doors for long-term stability in the province.

Speaking to media, Syed Aman Shah said that Balochistan has long faced deprivation, unrest, and mistrust. However, the revival of the traditional jirga system, with the active participation of tribal elders, has created space for dialogue and resolution of long-standing grievances.

Jirgas Bridging Gap Between People and Institutions

He explained that inclusive representation in these jirgas ensures that the voices of ordinary citizens are directly heard by both the civil government and military leadership. This people-centric approach is not only building trust but also helping to reduce tensions and bring lasting peace to the region.

“The only way to win hearts in Balochistan is through mutual harmony and traditional jirgas,” he said, adding that tribal elders play a vital role in bridging the gap between the people and state institutions.

Addressing Key Public Issues

According to the Awaam Pakistan Party leader, these jirgas are not limited to peace talks but also highlight critical public concerns such as:

  • Employment opportunities
  • Education reforms
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Infrastructure and development projects

He stressed that sustainable solutions for Balochistan’s problems can only be achieved by involving the local population in decision-making.

Call for Regular Jirgas Across Balochistan

Syed Aman Shah suggested that such jirgas should be organized in every district of the province on a regular basis to strengthen democracy and ensure continuous public participation.

He concluded by emphasizing that harmony among the civil government, military institutions, and tribal representatives is the key to Balochistan’s progress. “This unity will not only bring prosperity to the province but also stability and development to the entire country,” he added.
