Muscat/Karachi – September 3: A high-powered trade delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), led by Senior Vice President Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, is making waves in Oman with a series of business engagements aimed at unlocking fresh opportunities between the two brotherly nations.

The highlight of the visit was the Oman–Pakistan Business Forum, hosted at the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI). Engr. Hamoud Bin Salem Al-Saadi, Acting Chairman of OCCI, welcomed the delegation with open arms.

The event drew the presence of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, H.E. Syed Naveed Bokhari; FPCCI Vice President Aman Paracha; Chairman of FPCCI’s Pakistan–Oman Business Council, Sheikh Nadeem Mehboob Magoon; senior FPCCI members, Omani entrepreneurs, and key representatives of the Pakistani community.

The forum was followed by one-on-one business meetings and a networking lunch, where participants explored joint ventures, trade collaborations, and investment opportunities. Both sides stressed the urgent need to reactivate the Pakistan–Oman Joint Business Council to serve as a dedicated platform for boosting bilateral commerce.

Adding to the warmth of the visit, Dr. Syed Sharif Ataullah Shah hosted a grand dinner reception for the FPCCI delegation. The evening brought together prominent figures including Commercial Counsellor Ishrat Bhatti, Syed Fayyaz Shah, and Mian Riaz, in a setting that celebrated the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Oman.

In what is being described as a landmark development, FPCCI and OCCI reached an agreement to jointly organize a Pakistan–Oman Single Country Exhibition. The exhibition will showcase Pakistan’s diverse industries and products, while paving the way for Omani investors and businesses to explore untapped sectors in Pakistan.

The visit is being seen as a major step forward in strengthening trade and investment relations, as Pakistan looks to deepen its economic footprint in the Gulf region and Oman seeks to expand its partnerships in South Asia.
