Faisal Moiz Khan’s Bold Vision: Pakistan’s Economy Will Lead the Region, Says NKATI President

In a candid interview, NKATI President Faisal Moiz Khan speaks about Pakistan’s economic resilience, industrial growth, and the importance of national unity.

In a passionate and hopeful interview on the TalkShawk Podcast, Faisal Moiz Khan, President of North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), shared a powerful vision for Pakistan’s future—both economically and socially. His words were not just statements; they were a call to action, unity, and national pride.

Faisal Moiz Khan didn’t mince words. Amidst the current India-Pakistan tensions, he said firmly:

“India jaise log Pakistan ka kuch nahi bigaarr saktay. Woh jang shuru nahi karein ge, woh jantay hain Pakistan mazboot hai.”
He emphasized that Pakistan’s strength lies in its people, its army, and its resilient business community.

Standing By the Army, Standing for Pakistan

Faisal urged all Pakistanis—especially the industrial sector—to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army. “We are one nation,” he said. “To build a strong economy, sacrifices must be made. We have to support whatever system is there for the greater good.”

The Legacy of a Visionary: Capt. Moiz Khan

This isn’t just a job for Faisal. It’s a legacy.
He emotionally reflected on his father, Captain Moiz Khan, the founding Chairman and Patron-in-Chief of NKATI. The association, formed in 1988, was his father’s dream, and Faisal is carrying that dream forward—now more committed than ever.

“My father dreamed of a strong Pakistan led by its industry. That dream is now mine too.”

NKATI: The Economic Backbone

With over 70% of NKATI industries being export-oriented, Faisal revealed how crucial North Karachi is to Pakistan’s exports—especially in textiles and garments.
He proudly shared that NKATI is the hub of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the same model followed by economies like China, Vietnam, and Taiwan to boost exports.

“Our local garment industry is producing clothes better than China and Turkey—and exporting to Afghanistan,” he said.

NKATI also represents other powerful sectors like automobiles and pharmaceuticals, making it one of the most diverse and important industrial zones in Karachi.

The Role of Migrants and Communities

Faisal acknowledged the Khatri community and migrants from East Pakistan who, after the 1971 crisis, built industries from scratch and helped shape today’s industrial zone.

“These people didn’t just build businesses—they built the foundation of Pakistan’s industrial strength.”

Service Beyond 9 to 5

The most human part of the interview was Faisal’s personal philosophy:

“This is not a 9 to 5 job. It’s a lifetime service to Khalq-e-Khuda (God’s creation). If a Sanatkar (industrialist) calls me at 2 AM, I answer.”

He credits this spirit of selfless service to his father and elders, who taught him that leadership is a duty, not a privilege.

Message to the Youth

Faisal had a strong message for Pakistan’s youth:

“Achay din aanay walay hain. Aap ka waqt aaraha hai. Pakistan ka waqt aaraha hai.”
He predicted that in two years, foreigners will come to Pakistan to work—“White people will be applying for jobs here,” he said with confidence.
